STEP INTO THE STORY

The world through Pip’s eyes.

Pip has been trusted with the village lantern for exactly one evening. Naturally, its fireflies have chosen this evening to wander off.

Your voice reaches the young lantern keeper through the lantern itself. Follow six soft lights around a quiet woodland, from the Old Oak to the Mushroom Ring. Pip notices small things, worries about doing a good job, and is happy to talk about your day while you explore.

Fern waits near the village with a clue and a fox’s very flexible idea of the truth. A silver acorn by the oak is an optional gift: bring it to Fern for a different conversation. Only the six fireflies are needed to light the gate. There is no clock, combat, or penalty for taking the long way.

This was the starting idea for Whisperwood. Make it your own in the studio.

Create Whisperwood, a polished 2D top-down lantern adventure with a warm storybook forest. The main playable character is Pip, a young lantern keeper carrying a golden light, and I speak directly through that lantern. Recover six named fireflies across the forest and return to the Village lantern gate. Give each discovery a short first-person reaction. Include an Old Oak, Mushroom Ring and cozy lantern rest stop; Fern is a separate friendly fox near the village. Add one optional silver acorn near the oak that changes the interaction with Fern without being needed to win. No timer or combat. Make the map readable, charming and easy to navigate by keyboard, touch or named voice commands. Include a custom SVG preview, story, tags and clear controls.
